What I know

What I know and what I cling to when things get confusing or hard.

Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare[aand not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Isaiah 41:10 - fear not, for I am with you;
    be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
    I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Revelation 21:4 - He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 - So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self[a] is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. 17 Forthis light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, 18  as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

Psalm 84:10 - For a day in your courts is better
    than a thousand elsewhere.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
    than dwell in the tents of wickedness.

  1. Now I know we are sisters in Christ, because the first 2 scriptures I lean on each day, I repeat them every morning. God is good, and faithful.

  8. I love the passage from 2 Corin. I was discouraged this week and wrote about that for Into the Word (I'm new!) I'm so glad God tell us of his love for us, and how not to despair, b/c this life is short, and eternity is long. :0) I'm looking forward to connecting w/ other believers through the Wed. link!
