I think if you can say you have a few really good people you can call true friends throughout your life you are one blessed individual.
I can say without pause that I do. Here in VA where I live I do. Back “home” in Ohio I still do. I can’t tell you how much that makes me smile.
As I said in a previous post I’ve lived in VA for 6 ½ years and can call this home should we be here for the rest of our lives.
However, there is something to be said for people that have known you your whole life. When I go back home to Ohio to visit I settle back in with my friends there and it’s as if I never left.
As I type this I think of Heather and Amber just to name a few…I’ve known these people for what seems like forever. Jovan & Belinda…my friends, sometimes therapists and running partners.

There are people that have since moved from there as well but continue to have a very important place in my life and heart.
My best friend from childhood Alison...I can’t imagine my life without her. It’s exciting because even though she’s lived all over the country with her husband (who I’ve also known forever…we were all in the same 1st grade class!!)…she now lives about an hour away. They happen to be stationed near here with the USMC!
Megan…who knows me better than almost anyone…
Emily….the very best thing about dating one of my old boyfriends, haha!...if I hadn’t met him I never would have met her!
These people are such a part of who I am.
Even though I don’t see many of them more than once or twice a year…nothing ever changes.
We accept each other and love each other unconditionally. I am so thankful for each of them!
