A Guest Post: Andi @ The Hollie Rogue

Happy Tuesday!

I am SO excited to have my RL friend Andi from The Hollie Rogue on the blog today.

Since I’m only A LITTLE BIT (like a super LITTLE bit!) crafty I’m SUPER happy she offered to share a fun tutorial with you all.

Hi friends!  I'm Andi and have the privilege of counting Kelly as a real-life friend.  However sweet and kind you think she is from her online presence--you're right plus MORE!  I blog at The Hollie Rogue and also have an etsy shop with my two sisters featuring hand-embroidered pendants and other vintage-inspired jewelry.

I have two little kids, 3 and 18 months, and love to do quick, easy, fairly-mess-free crafts with them, so today, i'd love to share with you this Coffee Filter Flowers project using materials you ALREADY have in your pantry.

Materials:

1.  coffee filters
2.  food coloring (The Wilson frosting colors worked much better than regular food coloring)
3.  tape
4.  glasses of water

Directions:

1.  Fold filters (I actually kept 2-3 together so that the coloring goes a little faster.)

2.  Dip and allow to dry.

3.  Fold colored filters and pinch at base.  Tape to secure.

4.  Decorate with them as desired.  I added them to artificial stems I already had and put in a vase, or you could string together as garland, etc.
