This month?  1984!

#1 Song this week in 1984!!  Holla!

Couldn’t think of a BETTER way to start out my post for today’s A Look Back Link-Up: 1984!

AND FYI, when I was looking up this song on YouTube I TOTALLY got sidetracked by this song!!

I SO couldn’t help it…but alas WRONG YEAR!  Can’t wait for 1987!  My WHOLE theme might be related to Dirty Dancing!!!

Anyway…I’m getting horrifically OFF track!

At THIS time in 1984, I was 4 years old.
My FAV toys were My Little Pony’s.  ESPECIALLY the CASTLE!

My FAV friends were my COUSINS Betsy and LeAnn!  They lived on a farm and we ran around the farm and climbed on everything!  Probably the most carefree time of ANY of our lives!

PS:  They had a goat like this!  AND you’ll never guess what his name was…

Hi! My name's Billy!

TOLD you that you would NEVER guess!!!

And honestly...well not much else going on in my memory then so I will leave you with...

(I COULD NOT…ABSOLUTELY COULD NOT RESIST)…

#2 on the Billboard charts on June 1, 1984 was "Hello" by Lionel Richie.

Am I the only one who thinks he’s a bit creepy…ok a LOT creepy in this video?

TOLD YA!  Bahahahahahaha!

  4. Booo I wasn't even a twinkle in my mother's eye in 1984. This is such a fun idea, though.
And I have to admit - I am guilty of being absolutely IN LOVE with 80s music. It's a curse, I tell you!!
Thanks for the shout-out, by the way! :)

  10. Okay, several points:
    1. Lets hear it for the boy. BOMB. LOVE IT. LOVE all things Footloose (as pointed out in my look back, Kenny Loggins is never the wrong answer.)
    2. Ponies. BOMB. I had the pony castle too... Complete with strange pony elevator. amazing.
    3. Yes, total creep show.

    Love this!!

  11. Muuuuhahahah. I LOVE THIS IDEA. If I wasn't stuck in bed with the stomach flu the last few days, I would have been all over this. I'll get caught up!

I so remember that weird art-class "Hello" video by Lionel Richie. Not nearly as cool as the video for "Dancing on the Ceiling".

I was 2 in 1984 and my sister was 5, so you best be believing we had some My Little Pony paraphernalia cluttering up our playroom.

  12. My little ponies were the best! I wasn't born until 1985 though, so I guess that 1984 would not have been a likely link-up for me! 1985 though... July 1st happens to be my birthday. So it might be the perfect day to participate!
